TENDUA - Association for biodiversity conservation
Biodiversity is disappearing and our future with it.
- Decline of 52% of the wildlife between 1970 and 2010 because of the loss and degradation of habitat (deforestation, urbanization, agriculture), hunting and fishing, pollution and climate change.
- In 2010, the equivalent of 1.5 planet “consumed” by humanity. Natural resource stocks are depleting, waste accumulates faster than it is absorbed or recycled.
- 96.4% of freshwater (lakes, rivers, reservoirs, aquifers) sunk in global agricultural and industrial production to satisfy our Western lifestyles.
